THE 18TH-CENTURY VENETIAN MASQUERADE BALL, AN INTERNATIONAL EVENT SINCE 1998
An evening where the history of Venice comes alive again, where every detail – from the music to the menu, from the costumes to the architecture – is carefully crafted to make you
feel like honored guests of an eighteenth-century court. Set in the legendary Salone del Ridotto – the first public gaming house in Europe, frequented by aristocrats, diplomats and Giacomo Casanova himself – the Tiepolo Ball will immerse you in the splendor of the past with its refined and captivating entertainment, featuring live music, period dances, arias
and duets.
The evening begins with a lavish aperitif in the Salone del Ridotto, accompanied by music and entertainment. This is followed by a rich dinner in the adjacent rooms inspired by the flowers of love: Rose, Orchid, and Buttercup. The four-course menu, specially crafted and prepared with meticulous attention to detail, showcases seafood specialties from the Venetian culinary tradition; guests who prefer a vegetarian or meat-based menu may indicate their preference at the time of booking. Menu changes on the day of the event are not possible, and any allergies or food intolerances must be reported in advance.
During dinner, classical musicians, opera singers and performers in magnificent period costumes will perform across the three rooms, creating enchanting moments of entertainment. Once dessert is served, the Grand Ball begins: The Dance Masters guide the guests through group period dances, sweeping them along in waltzes, minuets and contredanses. Between dances, guests may enjoy traditional carnival fritters and, for those who wish, a drink at the bar (at an additional cost).
Entry to the ball requires period costume, which can be hired from our Atelier Tiepolo. A cloakroom service is available and, for guests with mobility difficulties, an elevator is accessible. Guests are kindly asked to arrive 10 minutes before the doors open.
Places are limited and entry is guaranteed only upon purchase of a ticket.

COSTUME RENTAL

Atelier Tiepolo will be available by appointment from Saturday, 23 Jan. to Saturday, 13 Feb.

After purchasing a silver or gold ticket for the Venice Carnival in Costume (the red ticket is available exclusively for the Valentine’s Day event), Atelier Tiepolo will contact you to schedule an appointment for costume selection and fitting, which will take place on the same day as your booked event or on a previous day, to be arranged together. You will receive directions to reach us in Venice and all the details about costume hire. For any other enquiries or further information, please fill in the contact form.

FEMALE COSTUME
includes all essential accessories (underskirts, panniers or cages) and any other accessories that are part of the costume itself (small bags, chokers, brooches, etc.).

MALE COSTUME
includes all essential accessories (shirt, jabot, tights, shoe buckles).

ALL OTHER ACCESSORIES
such as hats, masks, capes, shoes, wigs, etc. are extras and not compulsory, with costs varying depending on the model.

SERVICES

TAILORING: any alterations are included in the rental price.
DELIVERY: delivery and/or collection at your hotel is available upon request at an additional charge, but the costume fitting must always be carried out at the atelier.
Costumes must be returned to the Atelier by 11:00 am on the following day in the same condition in which they were hired.
